The hotel is quite old and I’ve requested for King room but the receptionist said it was sold out and replaced with twin bedrooms.
Instead of upgrading, they offer a lower rank.
Good view of the hotel and good location surrounded by eateries and shopping mall.

Best Hotel ni, dekat dgn tempat makan. Bilik. Pun Besar, aircon sejuk. Bilik Air Besar tapi toiletries mcm berus gigi tiada lah. Breakfast sedap.

Strategic location and it was within walking distance to Aman Central Shopping mall.Hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

A clean simple old hotel. Simple breakfast too. If add another 1 light in room will be better. Air Con a bit noisy but still manage to sleep.

I had a good stay at StarCity Hotel in Kedah. The room was clean and comfortable, with working air conditioning. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great, close to shops and places to eat.
Breakfast had a nice variety and tasted good. Wi-Fi was fast and free. Parking was easy and safe.
Overall, it’s a nice hotel with good service. I would stay here again.

Strategic location and it was within walking distance to Aman Central Shopping mall. Hotel equipped with basic amenities (forgot to bring my toothbrush and toothpaste and it was provided upon request - but not comb ??). Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Aircond in room was on good condition.

Good location for stay with family and friends. Staff and receptionist are also friendly and helpful. However, foods for breakfast should be improved and make them more tasty.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Star City Hotel in Alor Setar, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. The staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to ensure I had a comfortable stay. My room was spotless and well-maintained, and the food was absolutely delicious. The hotel's central location made it incredibly convenient to explore the city on foot, with easy access to shopping malls and popular tourist attractions. Overall, my experience at Star City Hotel was superb, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Alor Setar.

The experience is average. Room is clean and within expectation. We stayed at the hotel 2 weeks before Chinese New Year and there was a night market beside the hotel and we enjoyed the festive mood. A downside of the facility is that there is no lift between the basement carpark and the lobby and thus, I had to bring the luggage from the basement to Level 1 Lobby. However, there is EV charging available in the hotel and this is good news for electric vehicle owners should they choose to stay in the hotel.
