Location, location location ?? Really enjoyed our stay at Jo-An hotel, the staff are lovely & rooms very clean. Ideally placed to visit all of Rethymno on foot, so many cafes, bars & shops nearby and the old town literally 5mins away

An absolute gem of a hotel. Not only was it modern, clean, with everything you might need from a hotel, the staff were really helpful and it is in a great location. Without a doubt, I wouldn't hesitate stopping here again.

Tolles Hotel, zentral gelegen. Vielleicht etwas laut, aber mit der Klimaanlage kann man die Fenster nachts geschlossen lassen.

The hotel appeared to be ok on the inside however the food was usually cold and not often warm. The pool area wasn’t clean and staff particularly looked miserable moaning when ever someone moved their sun lounger. On arrival the pool was green and algae surrounded the edges of the pool, not very inviting. Most days we spent days at the beach which was expensive but saved some hassle around the pool. So glad we did as my partner is now in A and E with a stomach bug picked up from contaminated water, namely pool water and is severely ill still from last Thursday which was the last few days of our holiday. We did not eat anywhere else and did not use any other pool , Shame as now he has been diagnosed with Giardiasis.

The hotel was incredible! It’s right in town so the location was perfect, our room was a nice size and very nicely finished. The rooftop pool was lovely and had some nice views across the town. The staff were super helpful and extremely friendly! We will definitely be recommending this hotel to our friends and family and will book to stay again one day! I was a bit sceptical about this hotel after reading some of the reviews on here but they are absolute nonsense! The hotel is very clean and the room we had was a lovely size. I would recommend asking for room 108 as this was the room we had which was perfect!

Very nice hotel including a comfortable room with everything we needed. Very good breakfast and the evening meal wasn’t too bad either. Good pool and very helpful, friendly staff. Excellent location near the town and marina where there are fantastic restaurants with a nice view of the harbour.

Travelled with Jet2 to this hotel. Check in was straightforward with a friendly and helpful receptionist. The double room allocated was quite small but adequate for a solo traveller although it was lacking in storage space. There was a rail with 5 hangers for clothes and no drawers so not really suitable for more than one person. The room had a fridge and also a safe. The safe was charged at 2 euros per day which I think should be included in the room as it is classed as a four star hotel. I was also disappointed to find there was no kettle in the room. The room details on the website do advertise a kettle so this needs to be addressed. Again, as a four star hotel, some of the basic facilities seemed to be lacking. The bed was very comfortable and everywhere was very clean. Linen changed after 3 days and towels about the same. The bathroom was very modern, great shower and toiletries were supplied as well as slippers and a bathrobe. I was half board but chose not to eat dinner there, apart from one evening, as there are so many authentic Greek restaurants in the town. Breakfasts were very good with a big choice of hot and cold food. The dinner I had was not really Greek food and not very hot, so pleased I was able to eat out. There is a lovely roof top area with sunbeds. Not sure how easy it was to get sun beds as I dont normally do much sun bathing and prefer to be out and about. The hotel is located just 5 minutes walk from the start of the old town so it is ideal for getting around. There are some very reasonable trips in the town to the south of the island, which I would recommend. Overall I had a lovely week in Rethymnon and would not hesitate to use the hotel again. The location is great and the staff were always helpful and friendly. As to the rating, due to the lack of some basic ameneties I would only give this a 3 star rating.

Lovely central hotel with incredibly helpful staff especially the ladies on reception. Athena In the dining area and her young colleagues are a delight. We had no issues with the room, its size or the choices of food. If you are looking for a hotel with some character and guests of mixed nationalities it's a real gem.

Hotel super! Se potessimo dargli 6 stelle gliele daremmo. Pulito, camere fantastiche, posizione ottima sia se si vogliono fare tour organizzati, sia per prendere bus di linea, sia per raggiungere la città vecchia in 3 minuti. Gentilezza del personale 10 stelle, sia la reception che il servizio pulizia che il ristorante. Piscina sul tetto favolosa ed eccezionale dopo lunghe giornate di escursioni!!! Non so più cosa dire, solo che sono eccezionali!

Ich kann sagen, dass die Wahl dieses Hotels, abgesehen vom Restaurant und dem Essen im Hotel, ein gro?er Fehler war!! 4,300€ habe ich vom Fenster runtergeschmissen!! Aber das Essens und dam Team von Gastronom war super! Herr Fotis Liapis Chefkoch ist die Highlight des Hotel.
