The Average is the Best way to describe this hotel. Pros: - Amazing Staff - Good Cleaning Service - Very good location, 5 minute walk to the start of Thamel District - Next to Himalayan Java Coffee restaurant, where the service, food, coffee, deserts are surprisingly very good, not only on Nepal standards but in General. Cons: - Outdated Building, with little but visible stains in rooms - Bathroom in my Room was uncomfortable, which given in a situation can be understood how much trouble it can cause - During my stay, the keycard had some technical issues and they had to call electrician, while in the meantime I was not able to use my room. Finally, they exchanged my room to the one next door, but considering I had to repack my suitcase and allocate myself, its more than fair to say it was unpleasant scenario. - Though, breakfast was included in the package, out of 4 Days we stayed there we never dined there, given the most basic and unflavored variety of food. We always chose to have good breakfast next doors at Himalayan Java Coffee In the end, I understand that people traveling to Nepal have different reasons, so I would rather state my reasoning - Business - to which, this hotel was not a good fit.

Tijdens een rondreis in Nepal hebben we in het begin en op het einde van de reis in het Malla hotel enkel nachten geslapen. Het was telkens top. Het was altijd leuk om iedere keer het hotel binnen te komen of te verlaten met de vriendelijke begroetingen van de trainees Ashma en Namrata. Ook de groet van Thumbu was telkens een leuk moment. Tip voor de manager : geef Ashma en Namrata zeker een vast contract, je zal er geen spijt van hebben ! Maar eigenlijk was alle personeel vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam. Het ontbijt was ook dik in orde. De vers gebakken wafels waren zeer lekker. Complimenten ook aan de dames en de kok van het Orient hotel, zeer lekker gegeten daar, met een top bediening. Het hotel is ook goed gelegen in Thamel.

Idéalement placé, un h?tel vraiment confortable avec un très beau jardin, une grande piscine et un spa. Des petites améliorations pourraient être apportées pour moderniser la salle de bain. Bon petit-déjeuner sauf la viennoiserie.

My overall experience at this hotel was above average. The property was well-maintained, and the room was clean, Bed was not comfortable, and equipped with all essential amenities. It’s time for them to change comfortable mattresses.The staff demonstrated professionalism and courtesy throughout my stay, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience. The location was convenient, offering easy access to nearby dining and attractions. Breakfast options were varied and of good quality but not the best options. While there is minor room for improvement in areas such as bed and check-in efficiency, the overall standard of service and comfort was commendable. I would be happy to stay here again in the future.

We came from USA for kailash trip . From the name. The Malla , honestly I thought this was going to be a 'motel' in every sense of the word. That could not have been further from the truth. The moment we checked in, staff was absolutely friendly as could be with the most welcoming smile. The room 303 itself was fantastically spacious and clean...to the point where I commented to my partner you could smell the freshly laundered sheets. We were just there for few days, but stuck there during the gen-z protest and everyone shows us lots of love and care . I would absolutely stay again for a longer time if the opportunity came up.All the staff including Sunil lamichhane rabindra swastika and both the managers Rakesh and Gaurav in front are amazing.Food was amazing and servers are superb. Will come back.

The staff are friendly, rooms are clean. The neighborhood is really nice with many shopping options and good infrastructure. Accessible by taxi. Nice garden and good swimming pool.

Tucked between the busy streets of Kathmandu, is a timeless oasis of hospitality and wonder - The Malla Hotel. Reminiscent of the glorious past, the Malla Hotel blends modern facilities with old charm. The walls adorned with water paintings, perfectly framed in glass; the rooms filled with timeless wooden pieces and the spaces covered with carpets - the entire setting tells a tale that blends past with future. Above all, the staff is kind, hospitable and goes out of the way. I met people who have worked here for decades, and that speaks of how the hotel and the people blend into a scene. I experienced a lot of kindness from everyone, whether it was reception, cafe, pool or housekeeping, the staff would go an extra mile!

Our stay at the Malla was wonderful. We were welcomed by Rakesh and his warmth and professionalism was evident as well as how proud he was to work for the hotel. Having needing special dietary requirements, Gaurav and his team were exceptionally accommodating and he was very attentive and came to check we were looked after. Bibek at the coffee shop provided great service to us during dinner and Ganga too during lunch. The menus from all the restaurants were extensive however it would be useful to have the allergens added to the breakfast buffet cards and the restaurant menus - also keep the vegetarian items separated from the non veg would make guests like myself more comfortable. Additionally basic items like the bread at breakfast should be made available without egg along with more egg free options in general for vegetarians. The spa facilities and the complimentary foot massage were great and we made use of them. Located in the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu, there is plenty of shops within walking distance including the local market and malls. As the hotel celebrates a significant milestone, whilst the rooms were very comfortable, the bathrooms could do with updating and deco refreshed throughout too. This didn’t take away from the lovely lush gardens and hotel service from the staff.
