  • Guest：Our stay at Salmon Weir Lodge was absolutely perfect. Rachel, the host, went above and beyond to make us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and coffee. Also, the location is ideal for exploring the area, yet offers a peaceful and relaxing retreat. I highly recommend Salmon Weir Lodge for a delightful, relaxing, and enjoyable getaway. Five stars!
  • Guest：Salmon Weir Lodge is a magical place located on a beautiful brook and is within the cozy city of Cong. Every morning we’d wake up to a diverse and delicious breakfast provided by Rachel. The lodge is located less than a minutes walk to the town of Cong. Here can can explore an array of things. There is the “Quiet Man” museum and tour, a beautiful walking trail, historic buildings, a small and lovely Irish bookshop. you can’t miss the castle that has an extravagant golf course and an opportunity to walk the grounds with the wolf hounds in the am. Rachel was an excellent host. She is the epitome of Irish hospitality. Her BnB was cozy and it felt like you were staying with a close friend. We would absolutely stay here again if we find ourselves back in Cong!
  • Guest：Just had a fabulous stay at the Salmon Weir Lodge in Cong village. The lodge is beautifully decorated and you feel right at home as you walk in. The family bedroom is spacious with a comfortable queen bed and two twin beds. The linens were luxurious and comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. Rachael, the host, was a pleasure to speak with and offered many suggestions for things to do and places to eat in Cong. The breakfast spread was amazing and plentiful with many different types of cereals, breads, pastries, fruit, yogurt, etc to choose from from. Rachel also has coffee and tea available all day and night. You can take your coffee outside and sit and listen to the river go by - which is right in the back of the house. The walk to Cong village is about 2 mins and about 5 minutes walk to the trails and sites of the park. Very close to Ashford castle and its grounds. I highly recommend this B and B for your trip to Cong. Don’t miss it!
  • Guest：Rachael could not of been more inviting. If you’re looking for a place to stay around Cong, this would be it! It’s about a five minute walk from the town center and offered the best breakfast in the area. Our room fit two of perfectly and the rest of the house was beautiful.
