  • Guest：When I see that the hosts of a B&B have multiple pets, I immediately worry about cleanliness. I did not need to worry. They keep their pets in their private lodgings, their rooms and kitchen and dining area are truly spotless! The food was delicious! The hosts are gregarious and friendly and fun to talk with. We would 100% stay there again with no hesitation. Very nice place.

  • Guest user：We were Robert and Elaine last guests here before they sold up.We stayed here before our wedding. We chose the KirkCroft for the location as you cant get closer to Gretna Green train station, as we were going to travel by train, but in the end drove up, due to " train strikes" Kirkcroft" has its own car park ideal. Next door to a church and even though its near to the motorway its very quiet. I could see Gretna Hall from the bedroom window and the Blacksmiths is just a 5 min walk away. The Gretna retail outlet is a 10 min walk away in the other direction, but again we drove as plenty of parking. We stayed at Smiths and in the Penthouse for the actual wedding, but staying here after the journey up really did add to the charm of eloping to Gretna Green, the building use to be Gretna Post office and a school house. The cooked breakfast was the best I had in Gretna it was just my husband and I with Robert and Elaine cooking. I understand the new owners intend to keep it as a guest house, after doing some alterations etc, I do hope they keep the " charm of Gretna " as it certainly was a great find.
