Guest：I was somewhat disappointed to discover this was an updated but older small facility - I think with nine rooms. It appears to be run by a family. I had the impression from the listing that it would be a bigger hotel with more facilities. In any case, we found it easily, and a tight but functional parking area is at the back of the hotel. The room was spacious, but with minimal decor. Our room faced the road, which meant that it was quite noisy from both Park Avenue, and the main road just a block away. It was never really quiet. Part of the problem is that the rooms have individual 'through the wall' heating and A/C units. These always transmit more noise than a central A/C system. There was also a major design issue with the bedroom. The light over the vanity - which is in the open area, not enclosed in the bathroom - had a motion sensor attached. As a result, if one of you gets up in the night the motion sensor lights up the room! They should really remove those and put in regular light switches. A nice feature was the inclusion of snacks and bottled water, restocked daily. The first night I was very cold - the hotel only provided one thin blanket, and no comforter. However, the staff were happy to add another blanket the next day.This looked and felt like a middle-range motel, so I felt the rooms were overpriced.

Guest：The location was great, walking distance to the beach and all that Stateline has to offer. The office staff was very helpful and friendly and the room was clean, updated, had AC and the bed was very comfortable, but the cost was outrageously expensive (about $400.00 a night) for what we got for our money. It's basically a motel, afterall! For $400.00/night, I would expect some sort of continental breakfast or SOMETHING a little extra at this almost-luxury price tag. There were some packaged cookies and granola bars in the room. There was no closet in the room, just a few coat hangers in a fancy makeshift stand not wide or long enough to hang anything, no luggage rack. There was no public outdoor space, not even a picnic table with some surrounding flowers to sit and have a snack, drink or visit; such a space is quite common for hotels in the area. Even though we were given a "quiet" room, the road and people noise on a Saturday night went on until 2:30 a.m. (not the hotel's fault). The place tried hard, but it was a total rip off for the price. Unfortunately, in that area in the summer, they can get away with it. Next time, for that same price or less, I'll find a place with a few more niceties or pay less for the basics that this place offered. What a disappointment after reading such good reviews.

Guest：a few minor things let this hotel/motel down.... The things that let it down in the room I stayed in : Only bedside light the other bedside light didn't give out much light & main lights were a bit to much for just sitting in room at night. Also only one plug socket on the same side of bed, phone/batteries had to be charged on floor nearby. There was no place to store luggage expect on floor in corner of room. The blind in room can't be opened without the whole neighbourhood being able to look in. The major problem with the room was the noisy bed metal bed-frame & base, every time i moved it creaked very loudly! All this being said, the room is spacious, bed was a good size, very clean and excellent bathroom. The major plus was all the amenities that come supplied, Coffee, Tea, snacks, shampoo etc. Also area was quiet and parking on-saite
