Guest：What a pleasant surprise arriving at Lotus Guest House near Rivonia. This grand old house lies hidden away with rolling lawns down to the river. We had a spacious meeting room for our 1.5 days company workshop and my colleagues had well appointed rooms. Lotus Guesthouse will be our go to guest house for company Jhb meetings and accommodation for my staff.
Guest：The location was safe & clean !. The staff were very welcoming & accommodating . We were well taken care of ,the beds were very comfortable that we wished we slept longer . Definitely my go to place whenever I need to book
Guest：Disappointing I’m fairly disappointed with this property. The rooms are definitely not “soundproofed” as you can hear absolutely everything going on in the other rooms. The bed is not memory foam or, if it is, it’s extremely old. The room has a smell that I think is coming from the old wardrobe and now all of my belongings I brought stink. There is a loud, obnoxious buzzing sound that goes off in the hallway every few minutes. The street is under major construction that doesn’t look like it’s going to be finished anytime soon and is quite dark at night as is the entrance to the building. You have to call direct to get the information about how to check in. I had to call twice and had no further contact with the host. I would not stay here again.
Guest：This place pros: - bus and train station very close - coffee and tea facility - room is clean and you get fresh towels everyday - easy check in/out procedures - comfy bed - hot tub The cons: - The neighborhood seems sketchy, every night the door gets full of garbage bins - the road is also quite dark. - air cond directly on bed - view on the condo's inside - quite noisy (kids upstairs, loud music) - no info regarding room facilities - not much attention to details
