Guest：I stayed there two nights and had three meals in the hotel. The staff friendly and welcoming; the stay was perfect. Clean, comfortable, quiet -- all that one asks for in a hotel. The breakfast was fantastic. I had the scrambled eggs on sourdough toast with bacon. Huge and delicious. I was there on Wednesday for 'Parm' night (it is Australia after all). Lovely meal. The scones are to die for as is the homemade strawberry jam -- make sure you buy a jar before you leave.

Guest：?I really wanted to like The George. I’m out a lot and usually have nothing but good things to say about our local spots, but this place just isn't hitting the mark. I’ve tried it a few times now, but the vibe is always a bit "down" and the service is lacking. Most recently, my daughter and I waited at the bar while three staff members worked right in front of us. Not one person said "hello" or "be with you in a second." We ended up walking out without a drink. It’s a shame, because I’d love to support them, but I’ll be sticking to my usual favorites from now on. There are so many more venues that leave The George in their dust. So take it from a local and don't go here, unless you like being disappointed.
