Guest：Stayed one night for a function. Generally pretty good. Reception staff super helpful and our room was great, lovely size, everything we needed. Really was a pleasant room. Breakfast was good too. Food for the function was ok, event catering is never like restaurant dining but was ok although slow service and long waits between courses. Bars were our only disappointment. Really get the feeling or impression they were short staffed or had too many functions, which consequently made one or two bar staff a bit short tempered and a bit rude, I really don’t think they meant it but they were left probably a little isolated. Overall very pleasant, hopefully they can up the staffing levels when they have functions

Guest：We visited Chilston Park Hotel on the evening of the 24th with a couple of close friends, reminiscing and exploring the venue as we were married here many years ago. From the moment we arrived, it felt just as special as we remembered. The food was incredibly delicious, and every member of staff we encountered was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the evening even more enjoyable. What truly made our night, though, was an unexpected and very touching moment. While exploring the venue, we came across a couple of DJs who were set up and waiting for guests to arrive. We stopped to chat with them slightly worried we were gate crashing and they were so lovely, approachable, and completely went out of their way. When they heard we had been married at Chilston and trying to remember our special song, the woman DJ kindly played our first dance song, complete with love hearts lighting up around us. Please pass on our thanks to the DJs, as that thoughtful gesture honestly made our night and sadly we didn’t catch their names. It’s a moment we will cherish forever. Chilston Park Hotel will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we will definitely be returning!

Guest：Just recently back from a mini break at Chilston. Whilst the weather was decidedly chilly outside we were warmly greeted by the Reception Team. We were served a hot ginger tea on arrival which was a nice touch. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was cosy, warm and clean and with ample Yuletide decorations and trimmings. The grounds are extensive with a huge lake. The evening meal was top notch. The bread served before the meal was creative, warm and tasty. We both chose the roasted Caldecott chicken breast for mains that was delicious. The restaurant was ambient and quite charming. The serving staff were courteous and professional. A few grumbles. We stayed in an Executive Room. These are usually equipped with a fridge in other Hand Picked Hotels and have a decent view. Here there was neither. The pillows on the bed were so soft and flat they had to be folded several times to achieve a decent nights sleep. Environmentally the hotel was airy, warm and had a very fresh smell. Externally however you are blighted by noise from both the M20 and HS1 railway, I appreciate not much can be done about that, but the external spot lights focused on the hotel are way too bright and blinding if you are entering and exiting the hotel after dark. We enjoyed the break and probably will return.

Guest：This hotel is beautifully maintained & a true delight to visit. 4 of us + a dog were staying for 1 night. A few days before our stay the hotel called me to ask any questions, or if I had any special requests, which I thought was a nice touch to commencing my stay. This also proved the hotel's commitment to ensuring the stay was of the highest customer standard, in which would prove correct. I managed to gain an early check-in which allowed us to walk around the grounds with our dog. We had to eat in the bar/lounge area, due to having a dog, which of course was fine, and we were still able to choose from either the restaurant or bar menu. We did have a problem with 2 meals, and cutlery being served after all meals were presented, however ,once I let the manager know this, it was remedied immediately, completely to our satisfaction. We stayed in the stables accommodation, which i must say, was impeccably clean to a very high standard, and a really comfy nights sleep was had by all. Our son stayed in the main building, and he stated that this was also the same for him. My only nitpick was the bathroom was a little dated, which could prove a slight problem for elderly visitors as it could prove quite problematic to get into the bath for a shower. Breakfast was a delight, having lots of choices on the menu & again the staff were attentive & helpful & prompt in their service. To summarise, the Chilston Park is a remarkable hotel, but the overriding factor that makes it a cut above the rest is the staff. All staff had your complete well being & satisfaction at heart, but I must call out Matt & Nathan whom were "stand out" but again all staff were totally impressive. We will visit again as its too good not to.
